Ground Rules for Training
The ELCofSWFL has composed a set of rules which all trainers who train for the Early Learning Coalition will implement. We ask that you read these rules and follow them as well. We want to honor those of you who have followed them all along, and put them in writing to reinforce their importance. Please note: If you are not able to attend a training for which you have registered, you need to call the training entity (for example ELC or 4C) and let them know. You will be allowed only three no-shows before you are no longer allowed to register for and participate in classes. We will soon put into use the new IACET CEU certification. This method of offering CEUs requires us to make sure that recipients are on time, will require some type of assessment at the end of the class and will be recognized nationally. Please help us to implement these rules smoothly.
Happiest baby on the Block
The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida (ELCSWFL) and their partners are pleased to present the Challenging Behaviors Training Schedule. These trainings have been developed for early childhood teachers and program directors. Parents are welcome, however, please be at advised that the classroom environment and some content of the trainings are not suitable for children. Child care is not available at these trainings.
CEU's will be available. Payment by check or credit/debit card (MC or VISA) only at a rate of $5/contact hour.

Based on the work of Harvey Karp, MD, this workshop will teach you the secrets of how to calm a baby and save your sanity. Drawn from old wives wisdom and common sense, these techniques will give you skills to help your baby self-regulate, sleep longer, better and have happier awake time. You will receive a CD of Dr. Karp’s helpful advice and calming music.
