Early Learning Coalition of SWFL Welcomes new Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida recently announced Kathleen Reynolds, Ph.D., as the new Executive Director.
The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida is currently seeking new Board Members!
Being a Board Member requires an active and sincere interest in promoting quality early learning for young children and supporting families towards self sufficiency.
Each Board Member will be expected to regularly attend Board meetings (generally held every other month); and participation in one or more Board Committees.
We are currently accepting applications for the following Board positions:
- Private Sector members - Business owners or executives of a for-profit organization. Private Sector individuals may apply either directly to the Coalition or as a Governor Appointee. (see both applications below)
- Private Sector Members specific to Hendry and/or Glades counties
- A Child Care Provider from Hendry or Glades County (to serve beginning January 2009.)

The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida serves the families of Collier, Glades Hendry and Lee Counties. It is our goal to make certain that children ages birth to five and beyond, have access to high quality early education experiences to cultivate their natural enthusiasm for learning.
Together, through collaboration with community organizations, business leaders and public schools we are building a solid foundation. By investing in Southwest Florida's greatest assets - children and families - we create a strong work force, benefiting our entire community for years to come.
